LJ
So last night as I was driving home from my parent's from Thanksgiving dinner, I turned on my wipers. Little did I know one was frozen to the winsheild. So now the whole arm doesn't move, it is just loose. Like when I turn the wipers on, now it just sits there! I hope nothing is really fucked. It is also really dangerous because it is my driver's side blade. If ANYONE has anything to try on it, please let me know ASAP

desperado
If you can bring it out to Johnstown, I will take a look at it. I am pretty certain that you just popped off the linkage on the wiper transmission. They are held together with plastic bushings, that I may even have and if not there is a CarQuest and a napa local. Best bet it to just call me at home. 740-967-4324
LJ
We got it... damn POS Chevy's... the bolt that holds the arm on stripped off....
smokin5s
This happened to me before, the gears weren't stripped, the bolt actually came loose, I tightened it up and I was good to go. If the bolt isn't loose, then you stripped the gears and it's time to replace it

I just put a bunch of thread lock on it and put it on. Works like a charm now.
