Deserves recognition...RIP to a fellow driver

Recommended Posts

Ben was a guy on 6speedonline and ferrarichat.

From what I gather from the talk about it: He was at California Speedway with a passenger who was interested in buying a Carrera GT and wanted a ride in one to see that it was worth it. A marshall flinched and accidentally signalled a ferrari to come on the track (a ferrari club had rented it) and he had to swerve at 150+ mph. He hit the barrier, then wound up in the infield where the passenger was dead on arrival. Ben was airlifted to a hospital and pronounced dead an hour later.

Ben had a young daughter and a wife, and the passenger was 90 days married.

Even "The Stig" on TopGear could barely keep control of the GT, its not surprising that people are crashing these cars.
Sounds like 2005's Speed 12
