ok guys heres the deal. I have a friend who has a friend who's selling a 94 rx7. The motor and both turbos are blown/not working, but the car is chiped and it has a turbo timer. The body is in ok shape. the front bumper is pretty bad, and the rear wing is gone, but the paint is otherwise good. The interior is also eh. The leather on the driver seat is cracked and worn and the stereo is gone. I think the paint on it is rare because havent seen to many in this matalic blue color. What is this car really worth? The guy is asking 1500.

If you're looking for a project car to dump all your disposable income into, it sounds perfect. Does it have a clean title?

That car = GTS race car fodder.

Please tell me where I can see this car.

The car is a metallic blue green color called Montego Blue. It is the second most common color after Vintage Red

To someone who does'nt have a good knowledge of this car and a great working mechanics knowledge of rotary motors, you would be looking at spending $1500 for the car, about $10K just to get the car in workable or sellable condition, and then still only worth about $9K.

Berto is correct. Total in excess of $15k to get a 20b operational.

I would still like to see this car! Please?

ok so heres the deal guys, i want to buy the car b/c i love rotary, but..... as of right now im not sure i can. I wanted to buy this a a project car and rebuild it before i go to college next year, but my income is short at best and i dont have any where to keep it right now. Also i dont have a whole bunch of exp. working on rotary motors. So if i dont end up buying this car myself i will deinatly try to hook up any one on the board.

BTW i dont think its montego blue. All the RX7s i saw online that said they were montego blue were a dark blu and this one is i lighter blue.

I know that that car used to be owned by the guy that owns Auto Assets in Powell. Super nice guy, he let us see he restoration shop. But that car has really deteriorated since he owned it and I think there is too much work and money to be put into that car to make it worthwhile for your average guy.

I damn near baught that car, i do beleive it was for sale at Wedgewood sports and imports over in powell. He wanted 13.5 k for it, paint did look like shit, it felt stong, but owner, wasn't too keen about doing a compression check on it.

And mike, are you talking about your Step-Son?

That would be very cool.

got like 3 people ahead of em tho lol

but i think im going to stay to FC's till im done with school unless berto, the guy who posted the thread, or the other person before me didn't want this thing, for 1500 that's not bad considering you can get an FD engine for like 2500. Body work and what not would get done over time. woo.
