There is a small tear on the driver's mat under the accelerator pedal. Otherwise, good, but used, condition.

I have a set of OEM all-season (winter) mats for a 2008 Volkwagen Jetta. We don't have the car anymore, so I really have no use for the mats. These should fit any 2005-2010 Jetta, maybe even the Golf, I'm not really sure. Perfect for the winter months! $50

Just bought a new car, so the Mazda3 has to go! This vehicle is the rare combination of manual transmission with the Grand Touring package. It was my daily commuter car for the past 7 years, and as such has 165,000 miles on it. There are a few standard nicks and dents, but nothing major. I would honestly say that this car is well above-average in terms of condition. The only "non-standard" maintenance issue I have had involved having to have fuel filler pipe replaced (it got clogged), which makes this the most trouble-free car I have ever owned. Finally got some new wheels for my RX-7 and I need to get rid of the stockers. These are 16x8 wheels with a with a 5x114.3 bolt pattern and a +50mm offset. They came on my RX-7 with 225s, but they are actually quite wide and will comfortably hold 245s. The condition is very good. No major curb rash, but they do have 120,000 miles on them. 3G network vs Wi-Fi: Which is faster? Which works inside buildings? Which works off network or in other countries?

This is good info to know, but I read today that the phone does not have Wi-Fi! WHY VERIZON, WHY? But the GPS photo-tagging is pretty awesome. If you use Picasa to display web pictures, it will read the GPS tag and note the location of the photos on Google Maps.

So, which data plan do I need for this phone? My new-every-2 is up at the end of this month, and my KRZR took a dump about 2 months ago.

Guys, it pretty simple. Sirius bought XM and replaced pretty much all of the XM channels with the Sirius equivalent. Ethel->Alt Nation. Lucy->Lithium. Top Tracks->Classic Vinyl. Only a few of the XM rock stations made it out, and I don't even know if their formats will stay the same. XMU, Deep Tracks (hooray), the Loft (whatever), and Bluesville are XM holdovers. The manuals have problems, too. My buddy has a 90(?) SHO and he has had to replace his MT twice. I think it was the same MT from 89-94, when they discontinued the MT version. Otherwise, they are awesome cars. Great sleepers, and can be really fast.

Thought I'd chime in my .02. I have an ME from Illinois in '01. The nice thing about an engineering degree is that it is extremely versatile in technical fields. That is, engineering is what you make of it. Depending on your career path, it can be as much or as little hands on as you want. Some fields are very hands-on with a lot of field work (like Berto's), and some are much more desk-oriented and theoretical. From reading your posts, it sounds like you are much more interested in a hands-on approach. If you are looking to go that route, a degree isn't completely necessary. For example, you could start as an "engineering technician" (the preferred industry term for someone that does an engineer's job without a degree), and work your way into an engineering position. If you wanted to go the automotive route, you could always look at TRC. I got a ticket on campus this weekend while my car was parked (!) at a meter and it was only $40. Strange that the rates are different.

OK, all opinions about BTN aside, I want it. I root for a school that is not covered 24-hours a day here, and I have an interest in what is going on, as well as being to see more than 2 football games a year. So, today I was channel surfing today and saw that ESPNU had a Big 10 College Football preview show on. Since it was halfway through the show, I decided to record a future airing of it so I could see the whole thing. I searched for "Big Ten" and I saw that Time-Warner is listing all of the BTN shows, like Big Ten Tonight, and Big Ten's Greatest Games. Is this: A) A ploy by Time-Warner to convince me into believing that they are closer to a deal with BTN than all the other media outlets lead me to believe? B) A slip-up by Time-Warner because the are actually closer to a deal with BTN than all the other media outlets lead me to believe? Anyone with inside info that can give me hope for the football season?

Most of these have already been said, but I'll repeat: 1) What everybody else said about shoes is important. Saucony makes a great running shoe, as does Brooks. But make sure you go to a specialty store where they can fit you for a shoe. They can put you on a treadmill (or have you stand on a mat) and recommend a shoe that will compensate for your flat-footedness. Don't balk at paying around $100 for shoes. It's well worth it and is really the only equipment you need for running. 2) Sounds like you're running too fast, at least for a beginner. Try slowing down to about a 10 minute mile or run/walking (2min run, 2min walk) for longer runs. It also helps to run with a friend to help keep pace. When you are with somebody else, it is a lot easier to notice when you are speeding up and going to fast. 3) Run less often. Your body needs time to recover. If you are a beginner, don't run more than 2 or 3 times a week. Start out at a mile or so, and build up. 4) Finally, stay off of concrete. It is the hardest substance to run on. The path at Antrim Lake is gravel/dirt (plus the scenery is nice) and is measured at 1.2miles. Good asphalt paths are along the Olentangy path (Antrim-Park of Roses) or at Beekman Park on campus. I go through these pains every spring, cause I get lazy in the winter and don't run as much (I hate treadmills). Usually for me, though, it is my knees that give me problems and I can't run more than a mile or two. Once you power through and train your muscles and joints, it will become much easier to run long distances.

While the article stresses the amount of hours that the guy worked, I can guarantee that he did not die from too many hours. The difference is in the stress level. Somebody who works line-side installing parts or is a janitor obviously is not going to have a very high stress level. This particular guy was in charge of the Toyota Camry Hybrid development. That's a lot of responsibility, especially when something goes wrong. Some of the Americans at work were joking about karoshi and it is not a laughing matter in Japan. Most Japanese know at least one person who has died from overwork.
