First Evo Dyno at Quantum Racing

Yesterday I had the pleasure of having my Evo be the first car dynoed with the brand new Dynapack dyno at Quantum Racing. I am very pleased with the numbers: Stock Turbo, Cat, 93 octane pump gas, 20 psi boost tapering to 18psi -- 343 hp, 320 ft/lb torque. This initial tuning was part of the setup process, and only cursory tuning was done. Mark and Bryon at Quantum have done all the work and all the setup and tuning on my Evo. They are now scheduling dyno time, give them a call at 937-642-5400. I'm attaching the dyno sheet as well as my mod list. Unfortunately, I'm outflowing the stock turbo and losing boost and torque in the upper range. Looks like a larger turbo is in order.

Kinda what i was thinking  I remember the laser putting down almost that on 19psi and a 20g on a 100k mile stock engine

His Egt's and a/f ratios are pretty low plus with a cat and pump gas

Hence the "cursory" statement. ;)

What the hell does your 20g power output have to do with this guys 16g power output?? Last time I checked a 20g flows more at 19psi than a 16g @20psi bleeding to 18. So you SHOULD have been making more power than this guy.

Yeah, I agree...I think he is just stating a personal opinion/observation... ;)

Thank you captain obvious (for those a bit slower) graemlins/thumb.gif

I wasnt trying to compare turbos, i was comparing a worn-out 108k mile engine with a 20g/afc/19psi/TINY rre fmic/2 1/5" exhaust/K&N/gauges vs his list of mods on a brand new car. And to think i wasnt all that crazy about my numbers at the time redface.gif

It was more a monetary comparison than anything. Hes got more in the first few lines of mods than i did in my entire car + mods  Not including the $28K difference in cost of the cars of course....

Gotta love awd driveline loss :(

Gotta love awd driveline loss
and launch.

those are nice numbers, man. bet its a real fun ride. i do agree, however, that with that list of mods, it seems like you ought to be making more hp, safe tune aside.

keep us posted. and go run 11's, just so cold air will shut up. :D

Nice chart. Looking at a Evo for a daily driver. If you ever get a Apexi PFC for it let me know.

Can't you add a "correction factor" and get that number up to over 500RWHP? ;)

So how many HP did these add?
