Someone else at my work heard a rumor that they were going to do a drop top version in the future, me thinks not now (for the record I was very skeptical). This car is so much more different than the regular C6, than the C5 Z06 was to the regular C5. I think it's a very cool and radical step to take. That is going to be one STIFF chassis.Yep. That is a magnesium non-removable panel. Also note dry-sump oiling and battery tray in rear of car. Carbon fibre fenders, deck, and hood.
