Ok so I might be buying a 95 4runner but I don't mess with toyota's that much so please tell me the dirt on this truck. Also I read that they get 13.8 mpg it that true?

very true scott. but ultra reliable have a friend that i hunt with his is to 165k and had it since it had 40k. he hasnt had any major problems with it

A '95 should have the new gen motors. If it's a V6, that milage still sounds a bit low, I would guess more like 15 and the I4 would be like 18 - 20. If it's the old gen motors, I can't remember when they changed, the V6's have headgasket issues and the milage is probably about what you said. They are great vehicles, you can't kill them, just a tad bit underpowered.

 

Let me know what engine size engine it is and I'll give you the story on it. V6 it will either be a 3.0 or 3.4, I4 it will either be the 22RE or 2RZ, both a 2.4. Easy way to tell is exhaust on the 2RZ is on the passenger side, exhaust on the 22RE is on the driver side.
