We're looking at an 86 suburban for a very reasonable price that needs a tranny. He said its a 4spd AUTO, but which tranny is it. I found 3spds, and my dad was unware that there was a 4spd in the 86 suburban. Is this the 7000r4 ? The 350/th400 were all 3spds were they not? Really? I didn't know they were that common. Will they know what I'm asking for if I ask for a 700r4 or should I mention other models of vehicles that they come in ? Thanks!
