If you have an after market H/X pipe on your car, that is one reason your light is flashing. Also when you see if flashing at times means the computer is adjusting itself.

one thing i do whenever I get a light, i reset my EEC. I pull the ECU fuse, crankt he car twice (it wint start), then put the fuse back in. If theres a proble, the light will come back on, if its nuthin, the light will stay off.

paid $60 to find out my pcv froze shut,t hen thawed and was fine....never again.

just a shot in the dark here, but it might have something to do with them being room mates
