T Rex
Im confused as to what your question is. Are you talking about the pistons that go inside your engine? or something else?
Crash1647545504
yes so my car could take say a 125 or 150 shot
BiG BeN
ecu shouldn't need any love, other than pulling a little timing for a huge shot.
desperado
The only difference in forged pistions and cast pistions is toughness. A forged piston will take more abuse, AKA more spray. As far as changing the computer, unless you increase the bore, or change compression ratio you will not need to reprogram the computer. The motor will remain the same as it was, but be able to take more abuse from the spray. Hope this answers the question.
Nate1647545505
Nitrous, is basically more (cold) air, Boost if you will. Take an approach as you would a turbo car. GO WET SHOT! Anywho forged would easily hold up to the higher EGTs produced by retarded timing, and excess heat created by the violent combustion. I would look at rods with the consideration of the fact they take a beating at TDC and BDC. Push, then pull, the life of a rod smile.gif . Might try looking at total seal rings and stiffer valve springs. Good luck bro!

stolen 5.0
total seals makes a nice stainless top ring that'll take some nitrous abuse
Dave1647545494
total seal will also abuse your wallet at almost 200 bucks for a set. they are very high quality piston rings though.

iwishiwascool
make sure you tell the machine shop that you will be using it for a nitrous aplication. You will probably have to bore it a bit as well, and obviously hone it with the new rings and all.
stolen 5.0
if ur using the same size piston, you don't have to machine it, as long as no major scratches in cyclinder walls. just use a hand hone
