Guest floorpie Posted November 30, 2003 Report Share Posted November 30, 2003 this is a question about my second car. i have a 91 ford tempo. ran fine but all ofa sudden for a week it would take longer to turn over. then it just clicked when the ignition is turned..once in a while there is a weak sound as if it wants to turn over. battery is fine, in fact i replaced it because i thought that was the problem. everything else has full power. replaced the terminals and had the cylenoid checked...any ideas? i'm thinking starter. i'm seling this car but would like to get it fixed first Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If there has been any battery acid or corrosion build up on the terminal end due to a leak, you could have damage inside the cable that you cannot see thus giving a poor connection. Guest floorpie Posted December 1, 2003 Report Share Posted December 1, 2003 yeah i juse wnet out and hit the starter but i couldnt really get to it so it dwasnt hard enough i dont think. my car is too low to the ground for me to crawl under to try to get to it. damn. once in awhile there will be a faint sound of it starting. ..aslmost as if the battery were dying, but my battery has full power...dont know if that makde sense or not...i have no clue how to change a ground i suck Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
