Guest rugbyracing Posted August 5, 2002 Report Share Posted August 5, 2002 wow i went to go get my a/c problem fixed and found out i cant have ne freeon cuz it is now illegal... this is news to me.. well now i got to drop some $$$ to get my stuff cleaned so the new shit and whatever freeon left doesnt mix.. ne one eles know about this....? or why it is illegal? GRN96WS6 Posted August 5, 2002 Report Share Posted August 5, 2002 You probably have R12 in your car and R134A is the standard now. You can have it recharged with R12 but it is $$. But you can atually get your a/c as cold as r-12 with 134-a there is also some new stuff that will be comming out sometime that will make it even cooler called r-22 or somthing im not sure.
