Losing power when going around corners

Turbo Ben

Recommended Posts

Whenever I'm going around a corner and I go to accelerate out of it, my car seems to stutter and I don't gain the power until the car is going straight again. I changed out the fuel filter near the end of summer, and the car does it no matter how much gas I have in the tank. Also, it just started doing it all of a sudden about 2 weeks ago. Any ideas anyone?

Right corners, left corners or both? It almost sounds like a fuel pickup but your car probably has a constant pressure fuel system. You might want to take a good look at all your electrical connections, motor mounts, hoses, anything that might have worked loose up in the engine compartment.

No, because I can feel the car just bog no matter how much I push the accelerator down. But once I turn the wheel straight again you feel all the power come back and the car jumps forward.
