Just don't go during peak hours when there is a lot of traffic going to the state parks...Anyone been on 555? I might take that route next time I head south on 75 to Charlotte. Lots of turns, sweeping, tight, a bit of everything with quite a bit of elevation change. You gotta watch for gravel though, especially in the tighter corners.
