cutting 1/2" mild steel

I have a log manifold with a 1/2" thick mild steel head flange. I need it cut between the ports (to reduce warping) and wondered how to cut it. I have a circular saw, but don't know if a badass blade would even cut it. If anyone has something that will cut this, that would be appreciated also. I'll see if Tinman can do it, but he's usually pretty busy.

Okay, I just read that circular saws are way too fast to cut steel. Would just a good blade on a hacksaw work? I know it would take a while. Is it advisable to use wd40 to cool the blade while cutting?
