So lets do it on a motor that turns 28000 RPM (yes, its that many zeros) That's a bunch of bucks to spend for no more that it will get you. It's cool and all, but going up to a 40% fuel will do the same thing. After all Nitrous oxide is 36% oxygen content, at least that what is liberated from it during combustion. Nitromethane is 53% oxidizer, so there is more oxygen in nitro than nitrous. What someone needs to figure out is how to safely add hydrazine into the mixture. This was tryed in top fuel years ago. After a few engines blew apart idling in the pits and hurt people NHRA banned the stuff. Biggest problem with it, other than its ridiculously explosive is that it's very highly controlled because it's a main ingredient in alot of explosives. But it would make one hell of a octane booster, if you could figure out hhow much you could get away with using without blowing apart the motor in your car.
