UNIX Admin

We are going to be hiring 1 (possibly 2) unix admins on my team at work ( JPMorgan Chase/Bank One). Production OS and hardware support for systems running Solaris, AIX, and Linux. Looking for someone with 2-5 years experience who really knows what they are doing. If you are solid in unix in general then there really is no OS preference. If you're interested let me know and I can try to get you into the candidate line up. Any questions don't hesitate to ask.

I will be graduating from OSU with a degree in Information Systems from Fisher in August. I saw the ad and thought about applying but I don't have experience. I do know linux pretty well and I've been working in Cardinal Health's data center as an intern for the past year using AS/400s. I was also browsing around some of the other positions on Chases' web page and found some interesting jobs. But if you want a resume, PM me and I'll send you one.

On my team you would see Linux maybe 5% of the time, but knowing linux well will give you the skillset to exceed. Really looking for general administration skillset hardware troubleshooting etc.

If you want to shoot me your resume I can take a look. We actually have 4 positions hiring now and probabally 2-3 more next month, just nobody to fill them.

Sorry I haven't been paying attention to this thread. Not sure what the new pay ranges are as they just changed because all the job titles changed. Under the old ranges you could slot anywhere from 50-90k depending on exp an negotiating skills.

Some more info on what the job is/is not so people understand. This is a production engineering support role. We are last level of escalation for problems on production systems. Also we do production engineering stuff such as security audits, system patching, etc. We are also very seperated in our role and the only things we touch are the OS and hardware. All application stuff is done by application teams.
