gt-titan
i have a 92 gt stang with 3.73 gears in it. heres what's up, when i stomp on it only one wheel is spinning sometimes but not all the time, most of the time there both spinning. would this happen if the friction modifier was not added when the gear was done? the gear is new, what else might cause this to happen? Tinman
The limited slip additive is put in to reduce chatter and does nothing for locking the diff. Sounds like the clutches are worn and due to be replaced

stolen 5.0
rebuild kit is like 60 bucks i think. never replaced the clutch packs in one though. I know how to replace the unit though. you could just find a used one

Guest Removed
the kit is cheap and it's not a hard install at all. you should still have my number just give me a ring!
smokin5s
the v6 camaros did one wheel burnouts... I believe this was caused because they didn't have enough power to spin both wheels.... maybe try adding more hp like a SBC and your problem should go away j/k man

speedytang
Just replace the clutch packs on the unit you have and it will be new and you won't need to redo your shims just keep track of the shims on each side and replace in the same order. This is a simple job after you pull back the axles and remove the rear cover. If you get a new diff you will need to redo the gears and still need to rebuild the unit if used.
