Buck531
My buddy at work swapped the gears out (or what not) in the rear end of his truck.. they were missing teeth. So, he changed them and everything. Before he did it, it was grinding. Now it's whining. Sorry for the shitty description.. just trying to help him out (I have NO clue about rear ends). He didn't shim or do anything like that.. just swapped it out.
Lustalbert
gear wine if from the spacing not being set right. Did he get in between the teeth and check with a feeler gauge?
stolen 5.0
pinion nut might be too tight, is it whining on accel or decell?
Buck531
He said he can go up to about 10 mph and really gets loud. He's tired of dicking with it. Would any of you guys be willing to go to his place in Westervilleish area (off Schrock) and take a look at it? Let me know how much you'd charge for it.
