I know I'm not with them anymore, but 1st battalion 3rd Marine Division was nice enough to kick down the door so you can see in the house. I just heard the big red 1 was a good thing, but I think that was some carry over from WWII. You said you were heading back in a few days; I hope the best for you and those with you. Big Red 1 deffinately has it's history, mostly WW2 though.NOt saying anything bad at all, 1st ID took over our Tikrit/Samara AOR. Granted I was pissed to hear our progress we made, had turned 180 and to shit. I was in Mosul with 1st MEU, pretty cool guys, we fucked some shit up to say the least.
