Air compressor question.

So I just got a 21 gallon compressor for Christmas. Everything's great and works nicely.

 

The question I do have though. When I'm done using it, say for a week or even more, should I let all the air out of the tank or let it sit in there?

 

I've been told that it will collect condensation and water at the bottom and eventually rusting the tank.

you should drain the tank once a week. If you are not gonna be using it for a while you should empty the tank and drain it.

 

You would be amazed what nasty shit comes out of compressor tanks once and a while.

also go to habor freight and pick up a inline water trap. that will stop any water from coming through the lines.

+1 million its a must if you want your air tools to last

And dont forget to put oil in the air tools also
