All depends on the vibe I get from traffic. I sometimes only flip the brights on when I'm approaching intersections where there are cagers waiting to turn, the change from dim to bright is sometimes more of an attention grabber than being constant bright. Kinda like a manual mode modulator :D.

I used to have my brights on whenever I rode, but one day I was following my buddy back from Quaker Stake (not bike night...just hungry :D) while he was in his Ranger. When we got back home he goes "HOLY CRAP can your lights be any more annoying?!". I didn't think my brights were that bright, but apparently they are bad enough at night that I need to be just as conscientious about them on the bike as when I'm in a car. Now I run em during the day, unless I'm right behind somebody so I don't immolate their retinas.

Really!? NO WAY!!! :D

But seriously, is it even noticeable to make a difference? Or do you do it because it might make a difference and that makes you feel safer?

I've never done it but I don't see why I couldn't.

:flingpoo:

I feel it's there why not increase the odds of being seen.
