Guest wesxprs
Thursday and Friday the damn thing wouldn't start. Hopped in it Monday and it fired right up. Is it possible that water is getting to the motor? Any ideas where to look? It has a 2.2 4-banger with 164k on it. Runs great except when it has sat in hard rain. Thanks. v6grandprixgt98
My car got a little choked up that morning too. Stupid hood needs more drain holes or something cause everytime it rains a lot my filter gets a little wet.
Browning
maybe a crack in one of the coil packs, something of that nature?
TurboRust
i'd lean towards igniton as well start your car when its running well and get a squirt bottle, spray towards the coil packs and watch for arcing. usually craked plug boots or cracked coils. good luck

TurboRust
bah, if its dark and you spray em you'll see it arc even if you cant look directly at them.
Tractor
Get a can of "wire dryer" from an autoparts store and spray it all over the ignition stuff. It will evaporate all the water on the wires and stuff and it should not have that problem in the future. You may need to treat it a few times a year if its bad enough. I use this stuff on trail rides when someone totally soaks there distributor cap and there usually running 1 minute after I spray it on. Guest wesxprs
Awesome, thanks for the tips. The coil packs were replaced before I bought it. It might have something to do with it. Thanks. Wes
