Brought home my new baby on Friday night

Well, I decided to trade in my 330i for an '03 Cobra. Financing went through and I am now the proud owner of a Zinc Yellow 2003 Cobra with Bassani exhaust already on for me :burn: . I'll post up some pics in a little while after I find my camera.

Very nice. I really like that color. A lot of guys have had problems with the Densecharger CAI's. If the car exhibits any rough idling or stalling that's probably your problem. Have fun with it.

I actually have had a little bit of rough idle lately. I was already going to get rid of that intake and put another one on (I don't know why I just thought it didn't look right). Do you have any you would suggest? I was thinking maybe K&N?

KB that bitch. :D

Or go for broke and slap a big single turbo on there.

BTW, we're dicks for harassing you about mods like that already. :) In all seriousness, congrats on the acquisition - you should have plenty of fun with an 03 Cobra, and it's fast enough in stock-ish form.

JLT makes the best CAI for our cars and you can get it color matched.

I use the Amazon CAI because it was cheap and JLT wasn't around at the time. The JLT is a little tougher to install due to the MAF and filter being relocated in the fender but you'll see better gains with it.

most go with a k&n fipk average gain with just fipk is supposed to be 25-30 hp. you already have a cat back, so im assuming it should be a little more, and next up would be a pulley and tune. i am un-rich, so im goign to cut up my original airbox and use my drop in k&n and make a wall out of plastic, steel or fiberglass around the filter. peopel sell used pullies for really cheap on http://www.svtperformance.com i would check it out, and post up your densecharger.

Thanks for all the advice on the intakes guys. I think I am going to go with the JLT, it looks to be the best out there. It's time to let the modding begin. I ordered a 2.8" pulley last night off ebay, I just need a new belt and a diablo programmer. Once I get the beast paid off (or at least save some money) I'm going with the 2.2 KB for sure.

i would stay away from the diablo tunner and have dyno brian tune your car.

Do you have any contact or pricing info? I'm up for any suggestions, I'm sure a lot of you guys know these cars a lot better than I do.
