nismo
I just finished a ARC welding class and was wondering if anyone knows of any jobs in that field. Thanks
Rice Eater
Where did you take the class and what did it cost? I have a big ass industrial arc welder and I totally suck at stick welding. I've been considering taking a course and/or selling said big ass welder and replacing my stolen mig that I loved so much.

Stick welding ain't hard to learn, in fact I could teach you if you are willing to come out here to the house to learn and kick me a couple bucks for the electric. As far as a 'big industrial welder' a couple more bits of information might be useful. Typically an isdustrial welding power supply will domore than just stick weld. In fact most any stick welder can be used to TIG weld with to some degree, it just depends on what you have that will determine what capabilities it has. PM me a model number and manufacture and I willlook it up and see what it can do. But I am sure that it will TIG at some level if it is a stick welder. And if your pockets are deep enough, two of teh major welding manufactures sell a wire feeder that will attach to a stick welder (constant current power supply) and enable you to MIG with it (MIG uses a constant Voltage power supply). XChris1632X
there is a place outside of pittsburg i think that is hiring a couple days a week for a few weeks to do some welding on a bridge. you have to repel over the water. i know pittsburg is a bit away but i think it might be 14 hour days 3 days a week. that a couple hour drive work three days and then come home and do it for 3 or 4 weeks. i think they are helping with hotel rooms and from what ive heard its $22hr.
