Casper
Anybody have anything to say good or bad about Gahanna Manor? Take I-270 to SR 62 Exit, go East to Gahanna. At first light turn right onto Stygler Road. at stop sign, turn left onto Johnstown Road and we are 1/2 block on the left. I'm not familiar with Gahanna at all, so I don't know. My g-friend is looking at moving into these this month. I was curious what the area's like. Anybody familiar with the apartment complex or at least the area its in? evan9381
i used to live over in the area and know a couple people who live in them...its gahanna...not bad...i wouldnt say those are the nicest apartments in gahanna by far, but they're not penny lane. have her look into the other side of town near hamilton...its closer to the police station and seems to be a little calmer...have her check out hunters ridge phase 1/2, the arbors, that area. iwishiwascool
I lived in the arbors, off hamilton/270. It was fine for what it was and the price I paid. I wouldnt ever live on the east side again though. Personal preference.
evan9381
yeah, but then again, i would never want to live anywhere but here...you live here your whole life anywhere else is like "um, wtf" the only thing i dont like about the arbors (my mom just moved in a few months ago and i was looking to for a while) is that they cover 0 utilities. you pay water, sewer, gas, electric, trash. i got lucky where i moved in in blacklick, i pay electric and cable/internet. theres no gas, they cover water/sewer/trash. if she doesnt mind an extra few minutes, the place im at in blacklick is not bad at all, and fairly new...built in like
Buck531
Eh.. look somewhere else Ben. that place is kind of the "ghetto". I take it you and her are not moving out together? If you were, I'd suggest going across stygler into Royal Manor (where I live) and grab a house for rent (there's a TON of them here). evan9381
lol...i didnt really want to say its "ghetto", but i guess if you're comparing it to most of gahanna, it kinda is...not as bad as penny lane though. hes right though. rent a house over by him...they rent fairly cheap, and its mostly older people over there, so its quiet
smokin5s
stay away... ghetto! I'm with Evan though, look into the hunters ridge area... great area, very quiet... nice sized lots, etc...
Casper
No, we're not moving in with eachother. Let me correct that. Hell no. That's better. Anyways, she can afford about $500/mo for rent. Its amazing how few places there are for that much money. Any suggestions?
evan9381
like i said, if she wants to move to blacklick (waggoner/broad) she can get a place where im living...its not as bad as gahanna manor, but there is some section 8 (but they're no longer accepting it, so no new section 8 residents)...ive got a 2 bedroom/2 bath with huge kitchen (for an appt) for 565/mo and thats on a 6 mo lease...1 year is 10$/mo cheaper. i thought it would be a little worse being that there is section 8, but in the 2 months ive been there, the biggest problem i had was catching a couple kids sitting on my car in the first week i was in...nothing since. my 2 bedroom is i think 981 sq/ft (i think...i know its very close to 1,000) has a nice size living room, huge master bedroom...utilities are all electric, no gas, no water bill...all we pay is electric, cable/internet, and rent. my electric bill is about 75$/mo, same for cable, and 565/rent, looking at about 725$/mo in total bills. and like i said, thats for a 2 bedroom not to mention at 7:30 am, i can leave my apartment, and get to 270 in about 15 minutes, and to my job close to yearling/5th (right by the hoop) by 7:50. if i go noth on waggoner and then west on havens corner, i can be in the heart of gahanna in about 10 minutes. if shes interested, let me know so she can use me as a referral

evan9381
i think you're talking about a few years ago...i vaguely remember it, but i THINK she lived there, but thats not where she was kidnapped from...id have to look into that...hm the arbors are probably some of the nicest apartments in gahanna. shit happens anywhere you go. i wouldnt shy away from them over something that happened years ago, and rare as hell at that
Casper
She called the Gahanna police and asked them about it. They said its a very quite neighborhood and rarely has any problems. That doesn't sound like ghetto to me, but I don't know. She's pretty stuck on this place for some reason. Probably has something to do with getting a two bedroom for like $499. I'm sending her the info you guys posted. Keep the suggestions coming.
evan9381
Like i said...its gahanna. its not like its broad and james or something. it is "calm" but compared to the REST of gahanna, its not the greatest. the apartments are older, you have to walk up some flimsy metal steps to get to the upper apartments (which are a PITA to get up with anything in your hands), there is a small porch you share with someone which makes moving tough. tell her to roll over and check them out. honestly, im sure she could find better for her price range. let her know if she wants to come check out these where im at (since i know the office closes at 6 on the week days) you guys can come over and ill show you around...they have 1 bedrooms out where im at for I THINK about 465ish...i haven't seen any due to there not being any available when i moved in in may, but they may have some now
Mojoe
Its amazing how few places there are for that much money. Any suggestions? Ben, I have this pole in my basement. I could pad the floor around it so she wouldn't hurt herself, but the rent would be cheap. Let me know.

A) I watch porn, and am not affraid to admit someone has a large penis. B) Jesse told me. He was sleeping on the other side of you. Remember now? C) If it was me, your butt would definitely have been hurting.
