Bam
So the blower works fine, and you hear the compressor kick on, but it doesn't get super cold. What's the problem? Just low on coolant or whatever or could it be other things? The car is 12 y/o BTW. thanks
yotaman88210
Sounds like you most likely have a leak in the system. A/C does not consume freon/R134a like a car consumes gasoline. This is what a lot of people think. If the refridgerant is low or empty then you have a leak somewhere. I would definately rule out a leak before a recharge, especially if it is still uses freon and you dont plan on converting it, which you will want to do. Freon is expensive!! RUTAN TA1647545492
If you do convert it do not use a freon with leak sealer. It will just lead to more expensive repairs later,a/c machines are not compatable with sealants. If you need help send me a pm
