Jackson1647545504
Damn, nice pics. Makes me wanna go and buy a Ducati 999R. Ducati == titties Ducati 999r == titties + beer July 26, 2006 DUCATI 999S TEAM USA EDITION Ducati celebrates Superbike racing in the United States with a limited edition 2007 Ducati 999s. The motorcycle, called the "Team USA" edition, will come in the official livery of the Parts Unlimited Ducati Team and is only available in North America. Combining innovative design, technology, top level components and a winning tradition, the 2007 999s Team USA edition offers all Ducatisti the chance to experience the same excitement as the Ducati factory riders. The 999s Team USA edition reflects the great winning tradition and Italian spirit that is shared by Ducati riders, owners and racers throughout the world. The 999s Team USA edition is closely based on the race bikes used by both the Bostrom brothers and Neil Hodgson during the 2005 and 2006 AMA Superbike seasons. The 2007 Ducati 999s Team USA edition is powered by the 143 hp 999cc Testastretta motor and has a MSRP of $19,995. The motorcycle will be available for sale at Ducati dealers throughout North America beginning in August, 2006. All Team USA edition 999s are built exclusively for the North American market as a limited production run. Only 150 units will be made and each motorcycle will be signed by Neil Hodgson and Ben Bostrom on the tail section.

SpaceGhost
Ducati = overpriced Most Jap bikes are faster and handle better. They do look nice though.
Akula
Superhawk 996 is almost exactly a Duc 999 (not S or R). Put some aftermarket pipes on it and a little suspension mods and given the Honda motor/clutch system you are looking at a better bike. The Duc is sex on wheels but the parts/labor for simple things is outrageous and you have to wait months just to get an oil change.
