iwishiwascool
I am considering joining the masses of Americans who actually make a monthly payment on a car. I'm looking for a little more luxury in my daily drive. The 16 year old Talon has been a trooper, but I think it might be time to move on. With a $25,000 budget, what would you buy? Just Curious. PS: I dont want a goddamn glorified GrandAm.
AngryBMW
G35 hands down. Much cooler on the inside than a 350z, and you can put 2 girls in the back. I also think they are better styled. Go drive one; I think you will be impressed.
Mensan
Toyota Avalon. Yes, I'm serious. For the non-believers, go drive one.

Rally Pat
Believe it or not, you could save some money and still have luxury and speed if you bought something like an older Audi sedan.
Bam
None of those, I'd pick up like a very low mile 2005 Legacy GT all loaded up w/ the manual. Definitely under $25k since that's about what they go new. Get leather heated power seats, navigation, etc and have a luxury car w/ handling and power, plus not to mention a simple flash nets like 60hp/75tq I believe, and they make quiet turbo back exhausts for them so it doesn't bother you. TurboRust
stay away from the x-type unless you want a glorified ford contour, also in that range consider saab 9-3 and 9-5, mazdaspeed 6, and maybe a gto?
iwishiwascool
-I havent done a single test drive yet. -Im not a big Audi fan. The TT up there is probably my least likely choice. -Im dont really favor the subaru crowd either. -It will be hard to get away from the Evo, but the G35 and 330 are challenging me. -Point noted on the x-type, it isnt a very likely contender anyway. -No glorified GrandAm aka GTO for me. El Karacho1647545492
the new 3 series are alright. I'm not a huge fan of any of the E60+ models. The G35 is hawt. Classy and sporty, definitely the most sophisticated choice. 350Z; not unless you want every ricer on earth trying to get a piece of you. EVO: same as the 350Z Fuck the X-type. Piece of low-quality american throwaway shit with a new badge. Wrap shit in aluminum foil and sell it to the queen of england as earrings, and its still shit (50 coolness points if you get the movie reference) Audi TT: better to wait for the next generation ones; even still, current TT's have the NICEST interior design of any car on the road, but expect lackluster performance Mercedes C230: nice benz, peppy, sporty, and generally a nice car. That said, its a shop queen. She'll be a pain in the ass and be in the shop a lot. Faulty electronics > you. Lexus IS: Nice cars, haven't heard any complaints about them. I'd say test drive one. coty061885
Your best bet is to go out and test drive every car you are interested in. You'll get a much better feel that way than by getting advice on here, no matter how knowledgeable some of these guys are. That's my plan when I get the money to buy something better. Jelloman4571647545499
I would go with an EVO, but honestly do you want to drive any of those nice cars in the winter? maybe you should keep the 16 yr old DSM just for like a winter beater. If thats the case I would go for M3 four door as a nice daily. You can find them in Cleveland/Cincy at the 2 big dealerships there for around 19-25 with low miles. The g35 over the 350z just for luxury purpose. Fuck jag they blow (opinion of mine) Audi TTs,Benz are nice cars but I dont fine them confortable at all. IS300-beautiful car and very comfortable. A lot of switches inside to play with though so hope you like that. good luck

NOS50
I am not a fan of German cars but the BMW is an awesome looking car and performance is good. The Jag would be a big negative. My IS300 is a well built, good all around dailey driver but not a very powerful car.I would say if you just plan on buying and not modifying get the EVO that way you have a good reliable performer that looks good and can be driven tear round. If you plan on modifying for performance the IS,G35 or 350Z are all good choices. My IS payment is work subsidized so I don't really have a payment that's why I picked it,it had to be a Lexus. Alex1647545498
G35 or IS300
Dr. Pomade
G35 or the EVO. And, you're right, that white EVO - with those wheels - is sick. I'd rock that fucker all day long.
copperhead
M3, then the IS300. The G35 is a huge step up from the 350, but it still doesn't do much for me.
Buckeye1647545503
If you plan on keeping the dsm to "play" with I would stay away from the evo. With the ease of modabliity on it you will be tempted to take it to far and then you have a nicer verson of what you have now WITH the added payment. My choise would be the G35 then is300 then bmw even if I love bmw's I like the less expensive repair bills of the other two. Plus do a little looking I have seen G35's that make the Evo you posted look like a high school kids rice rocket. Black G35's on nice wheels with tint =DAMN! McGraw
G35 or IS300 If I remember right the G35 comes in a 300 hp, all-wheel drive version too?
99BlownYellowGT
Evo 4 wheel drive for the winters around here and you are a dsm guy
turbosi44
stay away from the x-type unless you want a glorified ford contour, also in that range consider saab 9-3 and 9-5, mazdaspeed 6, and maybe a gto? this man speaks the truth jag x types are junk, same thing as a lincon ls. iwishiwascool
This would be my only car. I dont have the time or dedication my race car deserves. It should be running 10s right now but I havent even figured out what tiny electrical issue is haunting it. I do believe I am taking some time away from the car modification game.
