  1. Very cool, I wouldn't expect anything less from him, really.
  2. Rich, you're only a mere mortal! Who do you think you are, getting so close to Mr. Pobst?
  3. Hmm...I may come hang out, but I have nothing track worthy to run at the moment. RA is nearly as good for spectating as Mid-Ohio, you just have to walk a lot more to get to the good spots.
  4. Damn, I miss living near Mid-Ohio, especially this year with the big anniversary. I gotta wait a couple more weeks till ALMS makes it to Road America.
  5. http://www.autocar.co.uk/News/NewsArticle/AllCars/257643/ I was browsing the Autocar site and noticed something funny about this Subaru: it has an Ohio plate! Anyone know more about this?
  6. Hopefully he can still drive something when he's recovered, he's damn talented. Zanardi still drives despite losing both legs 10 years ago, so this might not be the end of Kubica's driving career.

These are all I have taken so far today. This is what I woke up to, drifts up to my chest in front of my apartment. I think the official total so far is just over 20" at O'Hare, but the drifting is insane. http://img826.imageshack.us/i/imag0010ll.jpg/ http://img832.imageshack.us/i/imag0012a.jpg/
  8. http://www.gtplanet.net/ I've been getting my updates on the game from here. There's so much information and a lot of new stuff has come out in just the last couple of days. Apparently they are already piecing together some stuff for GT6 because they can't fit everything they want into GT5!
  9. I know this doesn't compare very well to the other stuff posted, but I'm no fan of heights so this was a little difficult for me. http://www.chicagobreakingnews.com/2009/07/skydeck-heights-sears-tower-chicago-tourist.html
  10. I signed up when the forecast said the weather would be nice, and now it looks like it will be similar to the last event. What cruel jokers these weather men are. Oh well, I can practice sliding my car some more.
  11. I swear every time I check the forecast, they lower the temperature for Saturday. I can't wait to freeze my balls off
  12. The coverage is pretty much exactly the same as I remember it being before it got booted off American TV the last time. They only get an hour of edited time to squeeze in multiple days of multiple stages. It would be nice if it was longer and more in depth, but that's all we get.
  13. That was such a blast last night. My throat is still sore from yelling. I'm so damn glad they won for once while I was in attendance. Let's hope it's a sign for the next 7 months.
  14. I'll be there, very excited to be making it to the season opener for once!
  15. For anyone interested, they are streaming the Runoffs live this year because they couldn't get a deal with SpeedTV. http://www.speedcasttv.com is the link, racing all day today and tomorrow.
  16. Do they show the live broadcast? I'd love to see the race on a theater screen but damnit I hate getting up early to see it; I'm a big fan of the 5 PM replay.
  17. That's why I was wanting to only go on Saturday. I went to the Indycar race last year and while the cars are kind of interesting, the racing was boring with a lot of "follow the leader" like you said. But, the Speed World Challenge races are always entertaining.
  18. I'm not even going to attempt to head up now. Car's at the dealer for some stupid shit so I'm gonna save my money for a bit. I probably won't even try to make any track days this summer, damn economy.
  19. I'm sorta surprised no one has made a thread about this. I know there's a lot of other things happening Saturday, but is anyone heading to Mid Ohio for the ALMS race? I really wanna get up there for this but can't find anyone who will be in town or is not strapped for cash or just plain wants to go. It's a little last minute, but I thought I'd check.
  20. Governor's Cup, August 15th and 16th at OSU's Ackerman lot. You can get most of the info from here --> http://www.orv-scca.org Plus, a lot of people on here take part, so you should get any answers you need.
  21. That is a proper whore out man, jeesh! That is the greatest yellow ever. Actually looks really good in pictures, not just in person.
  22. Thanks for the suggestions. I was hoping there was some kind of superstore for auto detailing in the area that I didn't know about haha. Guess I'll just stick to the vendors you mentioned for the products I'm looking to try.
  23. Seeing all these detail threads recently has inspired me to get a little more "detailed" in my personal detailing. But, I have a question for you professional guys and anyone else that can help: Where do you buy your supplies (chemicals, brushes, micro fibers, etc.)? I've read the DIYs that have links to buying the stuff online but I wanna know if I can pick this stuff up from places around town? I quickly checked AutoZone and Advanced Auto websites and didn't find much.
  24. I may be there, as well as a buddy with a green 300ZX. I'll have to check the weather once Saturday gets closer...
  25. Apparently he procrastinated in getting all their RFA's squared away and they ended up paying too much money to keep a few top players. They only demoted him, though.
