Ex: facebook and my girlfriends osu e-mail page.....it says "bad request".....it's been like this for over a week and I know the sites aren't down because they work at my friends house. It should resolve the URL to an IP address and then you should see the results of the ping. Try that and post your results. Akula Posted August 24, 2006 Report Share Posted August 24, 2006 Start - Accessories - Command Prompt should pull up the black window. Then you can ping or traceroute to the address you cannot reach. You go to start and then go to the run box. In the run box type cmd and then hit ok. On the black window (ms-dos) you type in the ping command.
