Sam1647545489
My fly window on my f250 broke and I dont feel like paying 90$ to have it fixed. I want to just glue a piece of plexiglass in there instead. Does anyone know where I can get a small piece.
Sam1647545489
Also what is the best way to cut plexiglass.
RedRocket1647545505
Lowe's or Home Depot carry it. Probably about the size you need as well. I'm not sure of the best way to cut it though. Perhaps a jig-saw. Also, if you have the dimensions, they might be able to cut it for you. Farkas
Plexiglass shatters pretty easily.. you can sear it with a razor blade a couple times and bend it so it breaks on the line. This was the easiest way I found to shape stuff it's just arduous and takes time. You can use a dremel and cut shave the rough edges but be careful. They sold this cutter type deal to me. I notched it a few times (almost like cutting drywall) and it cut a perfect line. I'm not sure about lowes or home depot about the stuff. When I went there a few years ago they had some pretty thin stuff. Even the thicker stuff they had was pretty damn pricey.

NWill
I used a table saw to work with what I used. It may not be the cleanest cut, however.
Science Abuse
Got you covered Sam, this is exactly what I did with the Cougar. -Home depot will have the size you need. -Cut it with a jig saw and a medium blade, go slowly. The plexi will melt and solidify behind the blade. This will act like a clue that bonds the piece you cut off to you window peice. Use gentle presure to brake it away, it's very brittle. -Keep the peice supported and flat, If it cracks you will be pissed. -You won't need to glue it anywhere. Make it the right shape and it will slide right in place of the old window. The cougars windows seal and go up and down just like the glass...you just have to do it by hand.
