In Brittain, you can have a 450hp V10 audi 8 that gets 40+mpg....but our sufur content is too high for it. Bring on the British "jungle juice". Mr. Jones Posted January 17, 2007 Report Share Posted January 17, 2007 Audi has had marvelous TDI motors for a while now. None really US Bound though. One of my fav's is the A8 4.2L TDI. Huge sedan that does 0-60 in the high 5's..Gets close to 40mpg on freeway cruising and has almost 500ft lbs on tap by 1600RPM's. I <3 Audi. Info on the V10 being a 450hp engine, in the Touareg it's 310hp? And I don't know why they would bother making another, larger engine (the V12) that 'only' has 50hp more. Is the new 'low sulfur' diesel we have here 'good enough' now? Shawn, don't worry, from the sounds of it, you'll be able to get many offerings here soon enough.
