Time Shares... need advice

I am looking into timeshares. I like to vacation in Hawaii and I am wondering if they are a good deal or just scams? I am not sure if I understand how they work... any advice?

Scam... You will never come out ahead on a time share, unless you have a friend that has one and buy their week.

I dunno, my parents bought one back in the 80's, and even though they tell me not to waste my time buying one, I personally love it. Their's is in St. Thomas, virgin islands, but for $100 you can transfer it ANYWHERE for the same amount of time. I used it on my senior spring break with friends in cancun, a cruise with the woman, a vegas vacation with friends and my sister is going to Alca Poco?? or whatever next month using it, good shit.
