RS69
I had to replace a fuel filter on a 99 Grand Am. I got the orginal one off after some effort. I had been try to get the new one on. Is there a special procedure to do this? This fuel filter has the threaded nut on the one side and a plastic snap type of connect on the other end. I worked on this for a hour and couldnt get it the snap end on? I thought I was mechanical, but this filter is owning me. By the way the car is on a lift so I have plenty of room to work. I have checked with NAPA to make sure I have the correct filter, but I am stopping in tomorrow at a GM shop to by a GM one. Any advise? I even sprayed WD40 on the end with the plastic connector and still can't get it to set correctly. Owned by a fuel filter, Rick
RS69
Well I got the fill filter on, it seems that I bent the inter metal clip on the line. I straighten it out and presto it snapped together.
