dragknee66
Lady friend of mine at work had her cat. conv. CUT OFF by some schmuck looking to make some money. Dealer says $1200 for new one of course and on top of that they are on nationwide backorder for them. Need some one (preferably with a shop of some sort) that can weld in a "test pipe"... UNTIL the new cat comes in of course ;) Vehicle is a 2002 Jeep. Surely someone wants to help her

dragknee66
She just wants it fixed, and I dont think youll find her going to any junk yard hah. She was fine with the "test pipe" idea.. just need some one to weld it up. The bastards made complete cuts so even if she had a cat it would still need welded up. twistedfocus1647545489
That year Jeep likely has a secondary O2 sensor, so a test pipe may require an O2 Sim (probably around $50). Aftermarket high-flow cats that could probably be adapted over fairly easily go for around $150. It's not free, and it sucks having to pay for STOLEN stuff, but it's less than $1200 . Just an idea. Buck531
If the light comes on, it's mainly an emissions light. It won't cause any harm driving it.. just loud . I bet Tinman could weld up a pipe for ya.

Skinner
if its a 3.9 v-6 or a 4.1 v-8 there no secondary O2 sensor and the cat that was removed was the california emissions cat test pipe will be fine.
