TheBussman1647545507
All last year I've had to use masking tape to make my numbers for autoX and it was a real pain so this year i was thinking of switching over a magnetic sign like I see a lot of other cars there already have. I was wondering if there was a local shop made them or something.
SPLN SUX
http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y292/mrmeanr/DSC00042.jpg http://i7.photobucket.com/albums/y292/mrmeanr/ax8.jpg They are .060 thickness... i speed tested these to 125mph and they didnt fly off so they are pretty stout. I dont know a price because i got them free for advertising them on my hood at all the events that year.
Dr. Apex
Check with Appearance Automotive, they can make you whatever you want and give a discount for scca members and participants i believe as they are a sponsor of our region here. If not any sign shop can make you something, im going next weekend to get my class and car number changed.

street pilot
I went to home depot and bought white magnetic vent covers. One sheet is good for a number, then one for your letters. Cost about $10. (print out your numbers/letters from word to use as templates if you want)
Dr. Apex
I'd reccommend something like SPLN showed, if you cut out the numbers/letters they will lose a lot of their magnetism and can fly off easily. Do something like this: http://i8.photobucket.com/albums/a20/ZeroBar78/Turn1.jpg
