wnaplay1647545503
I'm guessing since I cant see anything on my laptop, that the backlight is out. How hard is it to replace?

Earl1647545488
If you shine a light on the screen, can you see anything then?
Lustalbert
Plug a regular monitor into you laptop's VGA port, make sure you have video out there. If you do, check the microswitch that the lid switches when it is closed. If the switch is bad, the backlight wont turn on. Just some posibilities. Skinner
Hp pavilion ze1210 is the model. Anyone have an idea what this might cost to replace the backlight? searching ebay you would have about $20 for parts shipped then just need to find someone to tear it apart. guessing $100 for a shop to do it. JaSSon
I've had the monitor off my HP lappy. Not hard to do. I'd be willing to give it a try, but I'll make no guarantees. You won't spend much in gas money tho. :-)
thorne
Yeah same thing I've not done that model of HP but if you feel like coming by the office one night next week I can look at it.
