OSUGT
I read about this a few months ago. They actually dug it up today. Pretty interesting! http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20070615/ap_on_re_us/buried_belvedere
Kevin R.
That is pretty awesome. Doesn't appear to have much "protection" on it though so it might be fucked.
Patrick
I read about this, I think it could start, but once they said there was water in the vault, I don't think it will. Also, the gas probably has gone bad since '57.

Also, the gas probably has gone bad since '57. The gas isn't in the car. It is just in a container in case we no longer used gas, but since we do, they will just use fresh gas. Lustalbert
If it starts, Chrysler stock will go up. Then fall flat again.
Science Abuse
"a bottle of tranquilizers" Why don't women carry that now?
lawnman
I found a Corvette in a barn in 1990. It had sat there since the late 70's. Every hose had crudded up and would not let fuel into the carb. I was able to just dump gas into the carb and could get it to run for 10 seconds at a time before it would stall. So I would think if they can get spark and fuel they should be able to get it to run, even if it is only for a few seconds. As long as the motor is not locked up. TheHaze
Man, I was really hoping it would come out in great condition. Oh well. http://d.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/p/ap/20070616/capt.645e9b36e41d4e95b1880cd4c86c46f4.buried_belvedere_okso118.jpg?x=380&y=275&sig=FsirLB_iTjT_b9GLlxGf4A--

caseyctsv
Apparently "vault technology" was lacking back then. that vault was supposed to be able to withstand a nuclear blast. think not.

Patrick
How much did it flood? It looks at least to the engine, but does anyone know? Note: IF you haven't seen the other thread, it didn't start.
