I have the f4te casting it has a factory flat tappet cam in it now

however the block appaears to be machined for a roller cam....

from checking mustang specific sites some say a roller cam is a drop in some say I need a reduced base circle cam

I don't care wich way it needs done, but I just want to buy the right cam and lifter set and not have to fuck with it much

thanks

George says if you want to use a hydraulic-roller cam, you can use stock 5.0 roller lifters as long as you run a small-base-circle cam (also known as a retrofit cam), available through a variety of cam manufacturers.
