i went once and it was the year the power was out there for about a week. we stayed one night and left because the guy i went with had less then an 1/8 tank of gas in his car because he didn't want to pull more weight then he had to so that car never came off the trailer. it sucked. i want to go back and see the show and drive my car around.

I was there that year, the power was out on Fri. but came back on by Sat.

This event is a blast, everyone should try to go at least once. For those who havent attended think of RT.161 from Dublin to New Albany filled up w/every kind of car made by man. If you want to see it, it will be there, with plenty of partys on the side.

I plan on trying to go this year as well.

Hmmm, looking at things now might be able to go up there for a day. Woodward Ave starts downtown and goes all the way to Pontiac, you guys know of some good places to be at as I don't think I want to be downtown.

The cruise runs from about 11 or 12 Mile Rd to Pontiac. I would stay off Woodward if I were you, unless it's early in the day. There is a lot of stuff between 13 mile and downtown Birmingham.

I always park on a side street and walk around all afternoon. That's the best way to get around.

I am planning to head up on Saturday morning, my brother and I are planning to leave around 3:00am Delaware to be in Detroit by 7:00am. By 7:00am there will be some good parking yet. We will stay during the day and leave later that night. I may drive either the Mustang, 87 vette or take one of my brother's cars(98 vette, 911) or just drive the Volvo. My 69 will stay in central Ohio since I dont want to trailer it up there and find a place to dump the truck and trailer. My plans are not set in stone yet.

There will still be plenty of parking on the side streets, downtown Pontiac, etc. at that time. I usually go down around noon and don't have too hard a time finding a spot.
