BIGGU
ok well heres the deal, i was getting my windshield replaced and the guy removed the window but is not refusing to put the window in because of rust. the surface of the roof had a little bit of bubbling but nothing to major and they just removed the molding and its not the best. he is stating that they will refuse to put on the window till its fixed. where is some place that can fix the rust and match the paint at a good cost. i went to a1 and they said sure we can fix it but we need a new roof. fuck that! anyone able to do it for me? im SOL! http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view¤t=IMG_0707.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view¤t=IMG_0708.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view¤t=IMG_0709.jpg http://s18.photobucket.com/albums/b107/2zumeunos/?action=view¤t=IMG_0710.jpg its not that bad but i wont be able to live with myself knowing its there. 94birdman
Is that all? Man you can fix that yourself, its just a little surface rust. Unless the photos are deceiving. Just sand it down to the metal and slap some dupli-color on it.
BIGGU
the pictures are kinda deceiving, its worse in person. im really interested in trying to sand it down but the glass company wont put it in. i took it to a1 he said the metal is thin there. i think tomorrow im going to sand it down and see whats happens. 94birdman
You don't need to use a rust killer, just go over the area good with sand paper. Go to a parts store that sells dupli-color and look up the matching color for your paint in their index book. When you go to paint just mask off the roof and interior well. This isn't a job for the pros, im sure you can do it yourself just fine. You'll save time and money.
