wheezy
I have a 96 4 cylinder auto ranger and it gets 22 mpg at most. Ive changed the plugs. The oil is changed regularly. I blow the air filter out occasionally. The tires are at the correct psi. I dont go more 70 on the highway. Is there anything that Im missing that I can do to improve my gas mileage? wheezy
I guess I should stop doing burnouts. JK. I looked it up on fueleconomy.gov and it says 18 city and 23 hwy. Now Im happy with my gas mileage even though it sucks.
nurkvinny
My 03 4cyl 5sp got 30mpg on the highway, w/ 128,000 miles. How many miles are on your truck? 2wd? Extended cab? Stock height tires?
wheezy
130000 miles. 2wd. Regular cab. Stock tires.
Guest Hal
Get yourself a fuel system tuneup. That may give you an increase in MPG, but, even if it doesn't it's still good to do.
nurkvinny
130000 miles. 2wd. Regular cab. Stock tires. In that case, I wouldn't be happy with the mileage you are seeing either. Do you have a heavy right foot?
