Janszen
I have a 91 mr2 with a 3sge gen3 I was driving on the freeway last week when all of a sudden the cars RPMs jumped and it seemed as the car was out of gear but it was in gear. So i pulled over put it in first(felt like it should) let out on the clutch (also felt like it should) and nothing in first gear doing absolutely nothing. Before this happend i started to notice clutch chatter. So what im thinking is that could this be the throwout bearing or something more in depth? The clutch its self has less that 2k. thanks for any help.

Janszen
are there any parts on a pressure plate that could go out resulting in the splines being pushed in releasing the clutch disk?
Guest Removed
bolts backed out of pressure plate..or disc came apart..or the trans is broke!
Crossle
Hey Rob, if the bolts backed out, or somthing came apart would it have made a noise that would have told you "oh shit somthing broke"? I'm helping him take this thing apart possibly this weekend, so what IS wrong should be answered, but I'm just curious. I would think that if somthing like you mentioned happened you would know...? Please edumicate me a little.
