HAOLE Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 2002 Suburban 1500 5.3 Flex Fuel 104K So I am driving home last night and the service engine soon light came on. I just put gas in the car about 15 miles before the light came on. I did a little research on the sensor so far, and it looks like it could be water in the fuel from bad gas. rl Posted October 20, 2007 Report Share Posted October 20, 2007 I would guess the sensor failed. They moved away from those sensors in new flex fuel vehicles because they fail so often. Now they just use fuel trims to detect the type of fuel (when the trims go so far in a certain direction it switches to a different base fuel table). HAOLE Posted October 21, 2007 Author Report Share Posted October 21, 2007 update: I used the gas that I had in it from yesterday. I filled up down in Columbus today and drove back to Mt.
