So I am driving home last night and the service engine soon light came on. I just put gas in the car about 15 miles before the light came on. I did a little research on the sensor so far, and it looks like it could be water in the fuel from bad gas. Has anyone ever had this before. Also where is this sensor located?

Thanks in advance

I would guess the sensor failed. They moved away from those sensors in new flex fuel vehicles because they fail so often. Now they just use fuel trims to detect the type of fuel (when the trims go so far in a certain direction it switches to a different base fuel table).

That sensor is over 300 from GM parts direct.... Do you know if it is by the filter?

update:

I used the gas that I had in it from yesterday. I filled up down in Columbus today and drove back to Mt. Vernon with no Check engine light. I am starting to lean toward bad gas.
