Tough to tell from the pictures but I would be amazed if standard shorty headers would work in there. Thats what we were told with our 4.3L Vortec V6 conversion into a porsche 924. Hah. A few years later learning to weld by arc/mig/ oxyacetylene/ to bend and form / and a few new curse words we had made a set of equal length headers from scratch that cleared the tight as hell shock towers, steering shaft, motor mounts, bellhousing, and starter, you could actually change the plugs and remove from the car if needed.

F-that.

Blasphemy!!!

while I would tend to agree, there are a couple people out there doing it well.

Edge Motorworks is very competitive with that car and Vorshlag just started offering a premade kit to put a LS1 into an e36

My post was a sarcastic :) . Nate was 99.8% ready to do the LS2 into his M3 some time ago, but had some life changing events which shifted his priorities.

I like and support the idea, but the I6 can compete once she's wound up.

cool. Speaking of fast I-6s, do you have any more specs/info on yours?

Here's a link to the car's introduction on here...

I couldn't get the pictures to load, but it might be my work PC, it's acting funny today. I'll have to check it again later at home.

Anyway...completely badass car. Next time you come down to columbus, you'll have to let me bum a ride from you. I also noticed you mentioned track time, my brother and I frequent Nelson Ledges during the track season to do their Fundays. Shoot me a PM in the spring if you'd like to come up with us, even if you just want to hang out and ride along. They're usually on Fridays.
