My First House

verse

Recommended Posts

We close in about a week. We are starting to try to get some things done though now so we don't have to worry about it later. It's on the edge of Grove City off Alkire Rd. We got it for $74,000, so we paid a good price on it. We only had 3 days to put in an offer after first seeing it b/c there were so many people wanting the house, but we knew the realtor so we had first dibs. It's a 3 bedroom 1 bath ranch style with a huge yard and a half finished basement. Here's some of the pictures that we snapped yesterday as some before pictures. After to come in a few weeks.

Hallway; new paint, closet doors, ripping down the wallpaper, and ripping down the tiles on the wall that the previous owner thought were decorations :nono:

The house looks pretty nice for your first one. Mine is 1 br smaller then yours and a little bit more then what you paid. But the yard is big but narrower then yours. I don't know what is to the right and left of the backyard, but it would be a cool chill spot in the backyard. Get a nice table out there and a great grill. Even better with your pond that you have! Tiki torches and another light would be cool.

We'll probably start working on the outside come spring. Just try to get everything done now to the inside.

Congrats man, I guess its the time of the year or something, lol.

Any garage or outside area for the cars?

Have fun, looks like less work than I've got but still time consuming.

No garage. It's got a driveway that I'd be able to work in. We have a lot of positive equity just buying the house so I plan to build on in a few years.

Looks great for a first home. Deff needs up dateing, but everything is liveable work on it little by little don't rush and do crap work. Hows the bath?

I bought my first home last year and already looking at second property to add to my collection.

It's not too bad. Cabinets are in good condition. The countertop is a little dated looking, plus the bright blue paint and dolphin boarder doesn't go too well. We couldn't really take good pictures of it b/c the electricity isn't on yet.
