verse
We close in about a week. We are starting to try to get some things done though now so we don't have to worry about it later. It's on the edge of Grove City off Alkire Rd. We got it for $74,000, so we paid a good price on it. We only had 3 days to put in an offer after first seeing it b/c there were so many people wanting the house, but we knew the realtor so we had first dibs. It's a 3 bedroom 1 bath ranch style with a huge yard and a half finished basement. Here's some of the pictures that we snapped yesterday as some before pictures. After to come in a few weeks. http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture296.jpg From the Street http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture262.jpg The living room; new wall color and ripping down that hideous wood paneling http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture275.jpg Hallway; new paint, closet doors, ripping down the wallpaper, and ripping down the tiles on the wall that the previous owner thought were decorations http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture274.jpg Smallest bedroom; ripping down the wallpaper, new wall color, and new closet doors http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture270.jpg Middle bedroom; new wall color, ripping down the wallpaper border, and new closet doors http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture266.jpg The biggest bedroom; new wall color and closet doors http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/CopyofPicture263.jpg Kitchen; new appliances, new wall color/backsplash, new flooring, and new sliding door for now http://i2.photobucket.com/albums/y2/xihopeuchokex/Picture264.jpg Another kitchen shot

GRN96WS6
Congrats I'm getting ready to start looking myself.....I wish I could find a price like that out here in the DC area!
87GT
The house looks pretty nice for your first one. Mine is 1 br smaller then yours and a little bit more then what you paid. But the yard is big but narrower then yours. I don't know what is to the right and left of the backyard, but it would be a cool chill spot in the backyard. Get a nice table out there and a great grill. Even better with your pond that you have! Tiki torches and another light would be cool. Just try to get everything done now to the inside.
Bam
Congrats man, I guess its the time of the year or something, lol. Any garage or outside area for the cars? Have fun, looks like less work than I've got but still time consuming.

We have a lot of positive equity just buying the house so I plan to build on in a few years.

Doug1647545489
Looks like a nice starter. I want a house bad. Detroit sucks. You'd think 160-180k would get something nice... nope I almost have the 10% downpayment saved up but I scared to buy up here.
verse
Hows the bath? It's not too bad. Cabinets are in good condition. The countertop is a little dated looking, plus the bright blue paint and dolphin boarder doesn't go too well. We couldn't really take good pictures of it b/c the electricity isn't on yet. Mallard
Werd. Plan on ballpark 200k for a decent place, unless you're ok with a condo.
