TTQ B4U
but I'm torn. I am a little disappointed in the power and the motor. Why the hell GM doesn't step up and put the LS Vette motor in there. the other option is to just save some money, go smaller more DD oriented and practical and use the money I have saved for a toy plus a bit more in the future and by a Vette or something 'real' fun in a year or two or three. I'm an emotional buyer so it will likely boil down to the moment I go and look
Big Steve
It does have the LS2. Just tuned down a lil. That red one in the pic has the 427ci 505 Bhp. They also have the 3.9 260 bhp 6 cylinder one also!
TTQ B4U
This one here might, but the production one is going to use the 6.0l L76 Truck motor, not the LS2 or LS3. I suppose/hope there will be more aftermarket, but I'm not a tech so I don't know. I do think I read somewhere the L76 uses the L92 Heads which should flow pretty good possibly allowing for a cam swap or aftermarket springs. DOD support on the cam is a question? Similar to my GXP which uses the 5.3l V8. Nice motor, great power, but after market sucks. There's a new Turbo kit from a guy up in Toronto running up to 10psi, and a downpipe from Hogan and of course exhausts, but that's about it. I'm also thinking of passing on years 1 & 2 since they will likely end up offering a GXP version that will be something pretty nice. It does have the LS2. Just tuned down a lil. That red one in the pic has the 427ci 505 Bhp. They also have the 3.9 260 bhp 6 cylinder one also!

Notchback
I believe that would have been the 3.8L Series II.

V8 Beast
I'm pretty sure 50 Cent outsells Kanye West. lol. Nope, Kayne is still on top of the billboard charts, and 50 cent is like 8 or 9. Kanye destroyed him... This would make the perfect grocery getter. I wonder how it handles in bad weather. blueG60rado
Wow that's what happens when you just listen to music and pay no attention to radio/charts. 50 cent>Kanye

boostedgtp
Id rock that. I think the production versions v8 has the newer rectangle port heads (L76?), I believe from what I read the heads are supposed to flow like mofo. I thought I read somewhere that a cam should step the motor up big time.
KillJoy
I would trade for one KillJoy
caseyctsv
The 6.0 Liter in the G8 is tuned to make 365HP on regular fuel. With no mods but computer tuning I will bet a good tuner can get another 20-30HP out of it.
ImUrOBGYN
I think I like the Australian Holden's styling better.
KillJoy
Take this FWIW, but I know virtually nothing on Pontiac / GM Motors. With that being said, how well does the engine going into the G8 respond to boost? Or are there "better" bang for the buck Mods?
