FS: 225/40/18 Hoosier A3S05

TURBOED

Recommended Posts

Set of 4, brand new, never mounted 225/40/18 Hoosier A3S05's. I bought them for a steal off of Hoosier's discontinued tire site at the end of this summer. Plans changed, and I got a different autox car. I just want to get my money back, which is insanely cheap for an r-comp... $350

Haha, the 18's were for the GLI. What Hot_Wire was talking about is that I bought a miata as my new autox car, which is why I don't need these for my GLI anymore.

Here's a pic of the miata for you Ed... it is completely STS2 prepped

Yup, it was Chad's car. I could not be happier about the purchase. I had a list of STS2 miata mods I wanted to do, and this car already has every one, down to the brand of wheels and suspension parts. Now, someone buy these tires so I can buy a new top!

We shook hands monday and he delivered it yesterday, so if you hadn't talked to him since then, you wouldn't have known he sold it

He put a radio back in it... some no name cd player. Anything that gets sound out is fine with me...

OOOO man! Nice purchase Jerry!

Well sorted car you've got. Chad had talked about selling alot of the spare parts. Does it still have the aftermarket seats? How about a second set of wheels? You're two weeks late to purchase my hardtop. Sold that sucker for $675 (nearly the price of my miata!)

You have 18's?

heh. 18's on a miata. That would be a sight.

Edit: here's photographic proof. And I bet these are just 16's or 17's.

Sorry for the thread hijack. Good luck with the sale Jerry!

Yeah I figure there is about a 1% chance of anyone on here needing 225/40/18 r-comps, so I'm happy just to keep bumping it to the top :)

Car came with stock and corbeau seats, stock and racing wheels, and shorter stiffer springs for the front... besides all the other aftermarket goodies.

I didn't know you got a hardtop with that thing also. That is insane. I'm just going to replace the soft top though, no need for me to spend the money on a hardtop.

Oh, and that car in the picture has at least 17's... the rota's on my car are 16's.

can they be driven on the street? would it be illegal?

They are street legal because they are DOT approved. But is it smart to run these on the streets? NO!! They are not made for the streets, you will wear out more heat cycles and reduce the life the tire. The tires are really sticky, and will pick up lots of rock and debree fromt he streets tossing it at your fender well and chipping off paint. And if you do get stopped, unless your tires are brand new with 4/32nds tread depth, you might get a ticket for having bald tires. Tires are legally bald below 3/32nds of tread depth left.
