That is how she was brought up. I'd deffinately suggest sticking with a J-Frame S&W if you want a wheel gun, but for auto's I'd stick with a compact Glock in 9mm like the 19, or the ladysmith in 9mm by S&W. You get what you pay for with hand cannons, if you go cheap you get cheap. No need to start a female that has never touched a firearm off with .40 and above. 9mm, .380, or .38 is a great starter cartridge for self-defense/fun shooting. Once she gets acclimated to those catridges, then step up to the .40, .357 etc.. I'm used to the collapsable stocks like my M4 I had in the Army. Not to mention the adjustable stock gives you more portability and movement. Didnt get a chance to go out and have her hold a few today to see what felt comfortable. (bought a badass leaf blower tho) Here in a couple weeks maybe we can set up a nice trip the the range. AJ Posted November 26, 2007 Report Share Posted November 26, 2007 I would let you have 20 warm up shots with my sks with me only 5 warm up and ill bet you $20 ill out shoot you at 25 and 50 yds. you have no idea what my shooting back ground is, i have been shooting longer than you've been alive. i am a certified rifle/carbine/sub-gun instructor and i'm also a Range officer and have tought many to shoot with a auto-pistol. i can shoot quater size groups with a .22 at 75 yards. if your going to try and impress me then you better up your game, 75 feet (25 yards) and 150 feet (50 yards) is nothing for an SKS. My grandfather was a expert marine shooter. My dad in the marines with the m14 was one shot away from perfect,hes an expert and the best shooter i know. And my brother who was just recently discharged from lima company is also a expert shooter. The only thing you just listed that seems impressive is that you can teach people how to shoot a autoloading pistol, too me and my family that is the single hardest skill to master. The only reason i said 25 and 50 yds is because at that range the gun is as accurate as i am. Any more distance and i outshoot the gun. Now if you really have all the accomplishment you say then you should beat me at 25 and 50 any shooting style and you should be stunned that im offering you to shoot my gun for free and since your gonna beat me the $20 would cover your gas.
